I ordered the A/C unit and it's associated parts this morning, these will be drop shipped to Don's house. He also ordered the stereo speaker that has to go in the dash prior to putting it in. We have the original AM radio for the car but we will be installing a AM/FM with a 10 CD changer mounted in the trunk. The radio face place looks like a Chevelle plate with an analog dial until you turn it on, then it shifts to being a digital face. Cool huh :-)
Here is the air-conditioning, heater and defroster system we will be using in the car. This system requires we move the alternator to the other side of the engine. We are also going for an upgrade to a polished compressor and polished aluminum brackets.
Don has begun to work front to back to finish the car.

Aug 16th, 2006 Don has been working on the dash. The blue vinyl you see is the original and he is using it temporarily for fitting. He doesn't want to damage the new black one we have. Don used 40 lbs of blasting sand to clean up the new dash prior to painting yesterday.

Don is doing a test fitting of the dash at this point. When the A/C unit and radio arrives he will install them and the new dash covering. Don decided yesterday to have the seats done by a professional upholster. We will use the original frames but all new foam and new covers we bought. Aug 24th, 2006 We received the brackets for the A/C and Alternator. The look better than we hoped for. We are very happy with this supplier. The company is Auto Air and Audio in Groveland, Florida. The parts are from Zoops Products. Take a look at their web sites as well, I have listed them on the very first page.
